From Then to Now

It’s been a few years since I wrote something for this blog. In 2018, I managed to get a few posts out there (some decent ones if I don’t say so myself) but then my writing about fitness and health related topics slowed down to a stop. I still enjoyed writing little stories or lessons I was learning or just about things going on in my life for Instagram or social media here and there, but I completely disappeared from this website. I kept training clients in person for a while until COVID hit and then, just like most of the world, I locked myself in my house. Going to the gym to train people in person dropped to the bottom of my priority list and I didn’t manage to get on board with the online training vibe either. Once I was able to during and after COVID, I went back to my desk job that I’ve had since I was sixteen where I knew I’d have stability but that didn’t do much for fulfilling any passions of mine. I stayed there until recently when I decided that I wanted to pursue becoming a life coach.

The cool thing about that decision is that my approach toward personal training made it easy to consider becoming a coach. I always believed that physical health was intertwined with mental health and spiritual health and every aspect of ourselves, but labeling myself as a personal trainer restricted me to focusing on the physical aspect of my clients rather than the whole picture. As I sat in my classes for my life coach program, I realized that this is where I always wanted to be. I had always wanted to help people from the inside out – not the outside in. I wanted to help people make changes in their life and their mentality so that they could pursue whatever it is that they wanted – be that a healthier body, mind, relationship, or just a more balanced and healthier life overall.

So here I am. Starting over and transitioning (and, oh boy, am I in the middle of so many transitions that I’ll share with you all soon) to something entirely new but also entirely familiar to me. I’m excited to help people again. I’m excited to tell you all more about my approach to coaching and all of the ways that I can help you. I’m excited to help people create and step into the lives that they’ve always wanted to but never quite could figure out how to get there.

I’ll start accepting new clients early this year but for now, I’m just popping on here for a little “hello”, “I’ve missed you”, and “I’ll talk to you soon”.

As always – much love,

Chelsea
