About Me

Hello! My name is Chelsea, but some people call me River – choose whichever name feels right for you. My pronouns are she/they and I am the founder of CKB Coaching and CKB Lifestyle Fitness.

My background includes a sturdy base of academic knowledge in both psychology and exercise science, as well as hands on life coaching and personal training experience. I have a bachelors degree in psychology, a certificate in life coaching through SWIHA, an associates degree in exercise science, associates level certificates in personal training and nutrition, and I’m an ACSM certified personal trainer. I also am currently enrolled in the Gender Diversity certificate program at Lewis and Clarke College in Portland, OR so that I can be better prepared to work with gender diverse clients.

My intention, as a coach, is to provide my clients with the guidance and support they need to create the life that they’ve always wanted through figuring out and reaching specific, realistic, and achievable goals. I have always been passionate about helping others and I love that I’ve found a way to do this through coaching. I have a particular passion for working with clients who live outside the gender norm or have been wanting to explore their gender identity. As this is a journey I have been on and continue to be on myself, I love helping clients feel heard and understood, as well as helping them figure out what their next steps may or may not be in their own journeys.
